NOW PLAYING: The Drive Was Longer

The day of surgery was walk-in, go through the, you know, having the drops to dilate my eye, sitting waiting to have that take effect and then I went into the OR and I had a block on my eyes, so they actually did put me to sleep at first, so that they could give me the block and then they woke me up to do the procedure and all I see, I do not remember anything about it. I just remembered them saying “okay, we’re going to put you to sleep now to give you the block” and I woke up 10 minutes later in the postop area and felt great, okay, let’s go on, I am hungry and I went to lunch immediately after and then came back the next morning and I could see out of the eye because I could use the eye again and had my postop visit and then went home. It was easy. It was not difficult - probably the longest part of it was the drive there and the drive home. I had no pain. I had no discomfort. I was, did not have any scratchy eye, did not have scratchiness. I just felt like I did not have a contact lens and that it was dirty, I felt just normal.
